ABOUT FOSTERING:
Fostering is the backbone to our organization. As a shelter-less rescue, we rely completely on our foster families to provide the care, love, and attention that our dogs need in order to thrive and be successful in their forever homes.
While fostering is not always an easy job--challenging and exhausting at times-- it can be the most rewarding and fulfilling feeling to literally save a life. Our foster families are able to have full communication with the foster family before adoption to ensure they are comfortable with the dogs potential forever fit. After all, as the dog's foster parent, you understand their needs the best.
We provide all of the materials (food, crate, collar, leash) you will need for your foster dog, as well as ongoing support throughout your time of fostering. It is extremely important to remember that the dog you are fostering is relying on your commitment. You could have your foster dog anywhere from just a couple of days, to up to a few months, depending on temperament and medical needs.
We will always place the dog according to the best suited foster home for their needs. Though they are temperament tested and seen by a vet, these dogs are coming from stressful shelter environments and sometimes behaviors and medical issues come up. We expect our foster families to communicate openly about any issues that may arise in their time with their foster dog so that we can decide on the best possible action for the dog and for the foster family.
